Competition terms and conditions
Between 20 May and 2 June 2026, greenslips.com.au will select one person per day who has entered the ‘WIN the cost of your green slip’ competition and reimburse the cost of their green slip. To enter, you need to provide your name, email, and purchase a QBE green slip.
1. Overview
a) The ‘WIN the cost of your green slip’ competition (Competition) is promoted by greenslips.com.au Pty Ltd (ABN 81 130 177 696) (Promoter, we, us or our).
b) This Competition will be conducted via our website at https://www.greenslips.com.au/ (Website).
c) By entering this Competition, all entrants (you or your) agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (Terms) and our privacy policy. Any breach of these Terms or our privacy policy may result in disqualification from the Competition.
d) To the extent of any inconsistency between these Terms and any other reference to this Competition, these Terms prevail.
e) We may make amendments to these Terms or withdraw the Competition at any time, which will become effective at 12.01am AET on the day following the amendment or withdrawal, so will not affect any entries made prior to that time. Any amendment to these Terms will be made available to entrants at or before the time they become effective.
f) The Competition begins at 12:01am AET on 20 May 2026 and ends at 11:59pm AET on 2 June 2026 (Competition Period).
2. Eligibility
a) The Competition is open to individuals residing in New South Wales, aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.
b) Directors, management, employees, officers and contractors (and their immediate families) of the Promoter are ineligible to enter.
3. How to enter
a) To enter, you must, during the Competition Period:
i. visit our Website and access the green slip calculator;
ii. complete the 3 calculator steps by entering your details and obtaining the calculator results;
iii. click the “BUY NOW” button for the QBE green slip product;
iv. opt into the Competition by:
A. clicking the ‘enter now to win’ button in the pop-up box;
B. entering your first name and email address in the form; and
C. selecting ‘enter & BUY NOW from QBE’; and
v. purchase your green slip from QBE within 28 days after your entry into the Competition.
b) Limited to 1 entry per person, per email address.
c) Online entries are deemed received at the time of receipt into the relevant database. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries.
d) For the avoidance of doubt, the Promotor does not sell green slips. We compare all Compulsory Third Party (CTP) green slip insurers and provide you with every price available, based on the user calculator inputs, ranked from cheapest to most expensive.
e) The Promoter reserves the right to verify a winner’s identity, that they only made one entry and proof of purchase. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
4. How the winner is selected
a) There will be one (1) winner selected per day for the duration of the Competition Period.
b) The winners will be randomly drawn.
c) We will conduct the draw at:
i. a location in Brisbane, Queensland; and
ii. within 10 business days of each date of entry.
d) We may draw additional valid reserve entries and record them in case:
i. an invalid entry or ineligible entrant is drawn; and
ii. we elect to draw on the reserve entries.
5. Outcome
a) The Promoter will contact each winner by email and/or phone within 2 business days from the date the draw is conducted.
b) We may publish each winner’s name on our Website or social media pages (e.g. Instagram or Facebook), and in any other promotional material that we consider relevant. By entering the Competition, you consent to us publishing your first name, last name initial and suburb.
c) We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant who makes more than one entry or who tampers or interferes with the entry process, including the use of automated entries, bots, scripts or any other form of robotic or artificial means of submitting entries.
d) It is your responsibility to notify us in writing if your contact details change.
e) Our draw, and any decision made regarding the application of these Terms and Conditions, is final.
6. Prize
a) The total prize pool value for this Competition is up to AUD$9,100 (inclusive of GST).
b) Each winner will receive a reimbursement of the purchase amount paid for their QBE green slip.
c) You must agree to and sign any disclaimers or agreements required by the Promoter.
d) Prize is non-transferrable or exchangeable.
7. Claiming the prize
a) To claim the prize, respond to the communication we send you in accordance with clause 5(a) (which communication notifies you that you have won). We will require a valid proof of purchase of a QBE green slip dated on or within 28 days after your entry into the Competition and your nominated bank account details to process the transfer of the prize.
b) The prize must be claimed within 10 business days of the winner being notified of the outcome of the draw.
c) We are not responsible for any delay, technical difficulty or failure to receive this notification, including where the entrant does not check their junk or spam email folder in time.
8. Redraw
a) If a winner does not claim their prize within the prescribed time, we will conduct a redraw using the same method of draw specified in clause 4(b) within 10 business days of the expiry of that time.
b) The winner of a redraw will be notified by email and/or phone within 2 business days from the date the redraw is conducted.
9. Privacy
a) By entering this Competition, you consent to us:
i) using your Personal Information to conduct the Competition and communicate with you if you win a prize;
ii) publishing your Personal Information, or disclosing your Personal Information to State and Territory lottery departments, as required by relevant laws; and
iii) using your Personal Information for the purposes of promoting this Competition and direct marketing.
b) If you do not provide your contact details, including your name and email address, you will not be able to enter the Competition.
c) How we collect, use, disclose and keep and secure Personal Information, how to request access to and correction of your Personal Information, how to complain about a privacy breach and how this is handled, and how to opt-out of direct marketing, is explained in the greenslips.com.au Privacy Policy.
10. General
a) All entries become the property of the Promoter.
b) The winner consents to the Promoter or its promotional partners using their name in marketing in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Competition. We may also ask winners to provide a testimonial, photograph, film and/or recording for use in marketing which, if a winner agrees to provide it, is done on the basis that they consent to the Promoter or its promotional partners using the testimonial, photograph, film and/or recording in marketing in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Competition.
c) The Promoter and its Related Bodies Corporate are not liable for:
i. any loss (including indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury, illness or death suffered in connection with the Competition or any prize, except for any liability which under statute cannot be excluded; and
ii. any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, network failures, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of entries, and any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
d) Nothing in these Terms restricts, excludes or modifies any consumer rights under any statute including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
e) If, for any reason, the Competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as planned due to a force majeure event, including vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, computer virus, fraud, tampering, unauthorised intervention or technical failure, the Promoter may cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition, subject to direction of the relevant authorities.
11. Definitions
a) AET means Australian Eastern Time in New South Wales.
b) Personal Information has the meaning in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
c) Related Bodies Corporate has the meaning in the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).
