What is e-Safety Check?

e-Safety Check logo

Since 1 July 2008, e-Safety Check has replaced the traditional paper-based inspection scheme (pink slips). All Authorised Inspection Stations now transmit the inspection report to the RTA electronically.

By transmitting e-Safety Check inspection results electronically to the RTA, you can renew your registration online with myRego or over the phone.

Use the search box below to find an e-Safety Check Station near you.

To find the inspection stations in your area, enter your postcode or suburb name.
Suburb, Town or Postcode

Do I need an e-Safety Check?

Vehicles more than five years old will require a safety inspection as a condition of registration renewal. Your registration renewal notice will advise if your vehicle needs an inspection.

If your vehicle requires an inspection and you wish to renew your registration online, you need to get an e-Safety Check first.

To find out more about registering online or to complete your registration, go to myRego or click here.
